PlantsMed Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. was founded in 1996 by Dr. Rakesh K. Gautam and Mrs. Kalpana Sharma with a single mission — to deliver the safest, most effective Ayurvedic health, skin and hair care products for everyday wellbeing.
The journey began with two now-loved formulations: the anti-stress Ashwagandha Celestial Bru and the memory-enhancing Brahmi Bru — caffeine-free Ayurvedic coffee substitutes that quickly found a loyal following across the Czech Republic and neighbouring EU markets.
Over the years our herbalists, Ayurvedic physicians and phytochemists have developed a growing portfolio of patented formulations: instant herbal and green teas, fortified herb capsules from standardized extracts, sexual-health and weight-management products, and traditional massage oils. More recently, our nutritional scientists have added a dedicated nutraceutical line.
One word separates Ayurvedic supplements from conventional medicine — synergy. The whole plant produces a greater therapeutic effect than the equivalent dose of any single isolated constituent. M.Sc., Ph.D. — formerly Assistant Professor at M.L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur and a post-doctoral fellow at Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan, where he later served as Guest Scientist at the National Research Institute for five years. Dr. Gautam leads R&D, safety and efficacy work, and the company's growing patent portfolio.
Master's in Social Sciences and Sanskrit, trained in Ayurveda by leading herbalist and phytochemist Dr. Mahesh Sharma. She brings classical Vedic texts into the R&D process and oversees company administration.
